Amata Best Waste Management Awards is a recurring program in operation since 2014. The purpose of the program is to promote and encourage all factories to improve their efficiency in waste management; non -hazardous, general waste and sewage as well as ensuring all factories follow 3Rs (Reduce Reuse-Recycle principle) in their daily operations. This includes good waste management practices in order to manage industrial waste and general waste from inside factory before it is transported to the Amata Transfer Station

( ATS) - this increases the waste ratio to produce Refused Derived Fuel (RDF) and waste recycling.
